Learn and be amazed by Amazon and it's importance to the world, in "Amazon in Rio" exhibition!
The Interdisciplinary Center for the Environment (NIMA) from PUC-Rio, in partnership with WWF, opened the exhibition "Amazon in Rio" that brings information and curiosities about Amazon's ecosystem. On a walk through panels, the visitor is invited to reflect about the relevance of the Amazon rainforest for water, energy, food and health within and beyond the amazonian region. A movie with relevant names in environment matters and WWF environmental scholars show data, proposals, challenges and highlight how this relationship of dependence on a healthy Amazon affects Brazil, in addition to other South American countries.
The exhibition is held in NIMA Environmental Education Station at PUC-Rio's campus, in Gávea, and takes place from Tuesday to Thursday, from 11H to 14H. The exhibit is scheduled to be on display until the end of the year and is open to the public. Come and visit!
